10 things to do in Malta ?

Malta is a small island in Mediterranean, full of history and nature. It is worth visiting if you are looking for adventure, pretty good food and nice people. People in Malta are very kind and fun to be around. The island is small but there is still a lot to see.

1. Valletta beautiful historic city with museums, romantic alleys, palaces, forts and many more all incredibly well preserved. I am not surprised that its a Maltese capital. It's especially beautiful during the night, its magically lit and live, musicians often come there to sing or play instruments, best for a romantic evening with a loved one.

2. Birgu located on the opposite side of Grand Harbor from Valletta. It's also beautiful and if you come in the right time during the summer, the streets will be beautifully decorated in a festive time when people celebrate and meet for a festive feasts.

3. Festivals in Ta' Qali National Park. Summer time is the time of festivals in Malta. From beer festivals to a proper gigs. What's great about Malta and its events is that majority of them are totality FREE of charge. I am not kidding no entrance fee. You only spend on what you eat / drink. Ain't that great ?

4.Hagar Qim and Hypogeum( Paola) something definitely worth seeing, those are one of the oldest temples found in the world , literally ! The archives go back to around 3000 BC !! That is something incredible and one of the no miss spots when visiting Malta .

5. Mdina an ancient fortified city , again full of history, incredible stories and beautiful buildings. Mdina dates back to 6th and 7th centuries BC! And has only about 300 permanent residents. It has really specific wall structure, walls are very tall with narrow alleys. That kind of building allowed people resenting in Mdina back in a day to have a cooling shadow that protected them from a blistering day. Definitely a must see in Malta.

6. Boat trip to Gozo, Comino, Blue and Crystal Lagoon, Blue Grotto etc. Gozo is an island close to Malta, a little smaller than Malta but still quite big so if you are planning on seeing everything in one day I would recommend taking a car. Comino is even smaller than Gozo and doesn't have any shops or amenities, there is only 1 or 2 families living in there as far as I am aware. The main point of visiting Comino in general is its nature and so to speak 'Blue and Crystal Lagoon' the waters are incredibly blue and it is truly an idyllic location. Snorkelling in there is a must! Apart from that Blue Grotto is a must see for any caves and interesting natural locations enthusiast . The Blue Grotto is the largest in the cave complex.

7. Where to party ? Paceville is one of the most popular party towns in Malta, there is plenty of clubs and bars with different music, shisha bars and many more. During the day its a bit quieter, but in the evening it turns into a party town. If you are looking for more peaceful evening there is also a couple of cinemas around St Julians with good deals on food and a few pretty good restaurants and take aways. Everyone will find something for themselves.

9. Dragonara Hole/Coral Lagoon in Mellieha that is definitely a must see , the best way to get there is to rent a kayak from the closest bay and explore this amazing Natural creation. Also St Peters Pool and Kalanka are the natural pools you must see, great for jumps and amazing views.
